Enviromental Influence

Inspired by the idea of clothing being affected by the environment around the wearer. I took inspiration from movies like the Borrowerers and textures and shapes from the natural world. I combined this with my childhood love of dancing Fancy Shawl/Women’s fancy and the regalia I would wear dancing. I created my own knit textiles by thrifting sweaters, cutting them into strips, and sewing them together. Thus, creating my own garment based on what I could find in my environment..
